Understand the use of Tags within OVOne
In OV One, Tags are a powerful tool that allows you to manage and organize your SIM cards easily and effectively. Tags help you group SIM cards, apply specific rules, and control the functionality of each group with flexibility and precision.
What is a Tag
A Tag is like a label that you can create and assign to one or more SIM cards, you can think of Tags as categories that help you organize your SIM cards into different groups. For example, you might want to create Tags like Customer A
, Europe
or IMEI Lock
to organize your SIMs based on their purpose, functionality or location.
Default Tag
Every SIM card in your account is automatically assigned a Tag called “default.” This Tag ensures that any general settings or rules you apply to all SIM cards are consistently applied across your entire SIM inventory.
Custom Tags
You can create custom Tags to group SIM cards based on your own needs. These Tags can be anything you want. For example, if you have SIMs dedicated to a specific end customer, you can create a Tag called Customer A
and apply it to all relevant SIMs. You can assign multiple Tags to a single SIM if it fits into more than one group.
Logic
The real power of Tags comes when you apply logic and functionality to them. Any settings or rules you apply to a Tag will automatically be applied to all SIM cards associated with that Tag.
For example:
- If you want to restrict data usage on certain SIMs, you can create a Tag and apply the restriction to that Tag.
- If you need to enable specific features (e.g., IMEI Lock) for a group of SIM cards, you can assign them a Tag and apply the feature to the entire group in one step.
