Events
Event dashboard allows you to quickly see all SIM estate events across your estate
Overview
At the core of OV One is an event-driven system that tracks activities related to your SIM cards, allowing for detailed monitoring and control. This guide will help you understand how Events, Endpoints, and Tags work together in OV One, so you can make the most of the platform.
What are Events?
An Event in OV One represents any action or status change associated with your SIM cards. Every time something happens with a SIM, OV One creates an Event, which can be monitored to understand what’s going on with your IoT devices and IoT estate.
Here are some examples of events:
- Location Update Event – When a SIM connects to a network and updates its location.
- eSIM Download Event – When a new eSIM profile is downloaded.
- Data Session Start Event – When a data session begins on a SIM card.
- Data Session End Event – When a data session finishes on a SIM.
Each event can provide key information about the activity of your SIM cards, allowing you to track behaviour and diagnose potential issues quickly.
